Solace in silence by Theodore K. Nasos

Travellers from far and wide sought out for an oasis. A place of thought with mythical waters and flowers. A place with powers and answers. A place for those seeking for solace in silence.

Trekking through the unforgiving desert for days and minutes; driven by a longing unable to articulate, seeking for the old. The old soul who was living under a rock of centuries’ peace.

“I have lost my way and I know nowhere to turn to,” the young soul said to the old. “Sit child,” the old one said from under the rock. You’re seeking in a reflection of all the questions. Though there are no answers, there is hope and this is an answer on its own.” The old soul added before retrieving deeper into the rock.

The young soul sat and all around there were rocks scattered on soft sad, water dripping from them.
“Where is the truth?” the young soul asked to be answered by the silence.

And then tired the young soul lean over the nearest rock and felt the centuries leaking and connected and this is when the soul became old.
And silent.
The solace only silence can give!
